I always love an Autumn wedding for the beautiful colours everywhere and also because the light for shooting is so much more softer in late afternoon in October than it is the height of summer.

I first met Cheryl and Karl a few months before their wedding when their gorgeous son came along for a cake smash and we had great fun shooting in the studio so I knew the couple were going to have an amazing wedding day.

We headed along to the Woodlands Hotel in Broughty Ferry on the crisp Autumn morning and we picked out lots of places for images among all those golden brown leaves. Heading up to the bridal suite we had great fun capturing Cheryl having her make-up done by the lovely Saffron Rose Litchfield and hair by Amy-Marina Yeats who always do a fantastic job.

After some fun shots on the bed with the champagne we went off to meet Karl at the venue entrance and went for a wonder round the grounds capturing some super images of Karl and his groomsmen including paige boy and son Zack!

The couple then had a lovely ceremony in the main function room and we had some fun with formal images and couple images out around the grounds whilst the sun was beginning to set.

Some cracking speeches were then to follow and a little dancing into the early hours with the Elaine Stewart band.

A really lovely day for such a lovely couple :)
